Two of Eugene
Just lost what I wrote. doh! Let's see... try to remember.
I went to my Buddhist meditation group tonight.
I tried to sketch my teacher, Eugene Cash. He's cool and funny. He was talking about noting the feeling tone of every contact that every sense has. Pleasant, unpleasant or neutral. By noting we can learn to choose whether to react or not to our preferences.
Neither of the drawings looks much like him. My excuse: He was far away and there were lots of heads in the way.
The talk was really good tho. You can read more about the subject of the talk here:

My Freitag bag on the train and a plant
Yesterday I took the Caltrain to Redwood city with Pamela and Rich picked us up and took us to San Jose for my dad's opening. On the train I (bumpily) drew my bag.
It was a great show!
Tonight I hung out with Rich and Keiko and drew a little plant that had been saved from certain death by Tristan. It still looks like it could use some water.
I raced my bike today in Brisbane: cycle-cross. that was fun. and very hard.

Fork and Lolly
on the BART home from work yesterday. It was crowded and I tried to draw what I saw in front of me. part of my bike. nice little Hunter.
Next: today I drew a banana Tootsie Pop at work. Nobody like's banana flavor. I couldn't get any good dramatic light on it where it sat on the table so Alicia suggested I put it on the floor in the sun. I felt funny drawing it while it sat there on the blue carpet, like someone might walk in and be shocked. He he.

two days worth
Friday night after First Friday's in Oakland I was on the BART back home. ooops I hadn't made my drawing yet and I was so tired and possibly getting sick. I drew this while we were in the tunnel. hmmm, not enough time.
Then tonight I drew my new most favorite object: the tiniest bike pump in the world! It's less than 4 inches long! and bright pink. It takes a long time to pump up a tire with it, but it's so small that I don't care.
